- ane pair of scissors
- 1 mucilage stick
- 1 black marker
- 1 Ziploc sandwich bag
- 1 pencil (optional)
Directions
1. Select and ready papers. From the set of four papers, cull two papers to be the inner and outer cards. The remaining papers will be used for the pop-up feature and details.
ii. Create inner menu. Fold in half the paper that will be the background of the menu (inner carte du jour) and then create 2 parallel cuts (lines in the same management and same altitude autonomously) in the eye of the fold (about i inch in length). The cuts can exist bigger or smaller as long as the two cuts are the same size. After making the cuts, at that place will be a flap in the middle of the fold that looks and moves a flake similar a loose tooth. Follow the next footstep to plow that into the popular-up characteristic of the carte du jour!
3. Push out the pop-upward ledge. Open up the inner carte du jour and use your alphabetize finger to push the fold in towards you. See how information technology pops! A small ledge (looks like a table) will announced in the middle of the carte du jour.
4. Attach inner card to outer carte du jour. Fold the outer bill of fare in the aforementioned way you folded the inner card – making the creases tight! Adjacent, mucilage the inner carte inside the outer carte du jour. When doing this, be certain that the pop-up feature (loose tooth) is pushed inside the carte du jour, leaving a gap where information technology had been (now information technology looks like a missing tooth). Mucilage down each side of the inner menu, one at a time, into the outer card, using lots of glue.
5. Design pop-up slice. Using the other cardstock colors, create a shape that you'd like to have pop out. Measure out the pop out shape by placing information technology confronting the pop-upwardly feature ledge. If it hangs over the inner card, information technology will also stick out when the card is closed. Trim down the shape and so that it doesn't stick out. And so, use mucilage to attach the popular-up shape to the front of the newspaper ledge.
6. Add more! Utilize the remaining cardstock scraps, add details to the pop-up shape picture and around the inside of the card. Utilize the black marker to add details, as well as a greeting on the inside of the card. Feel gratis to decorate the front or dorsum of the card too.
